Little Pythons in the Real World:Part 3

This place is really cool! Let's do a bit more exploring...wow, that is one cool car! I wonder if I could take a ride...let's just go into the castle, take the elevator and get right up near it...

Little Python fact:Sometimes snakes have wandered off, just like Stripie did! But they're usually no concern. For one notable length of time, an Egyptian Cobra escaped from the Bronx Zoo. It actually had its own Twitter feed showing it all over New York. However, in reality, it was just in the corner of the reptile house.

Little Pythons in the Real World:Part 2

Wow! You won't believe what I saw! In this land there's strange creatures *points to Pinkie the Python*, mysterious temples *points to jungle temple*, strange and terrifying monsters, *points to three-headed sea serpent*, and maybe even potential friends! *points to snake pit* There's so much to see! I wish I brought my camera.

Little python fact:Some snakes can have more than one head, just like the three-headed sea serpent Tangerinei found! Here's a video of Medusa, a two-headed milk snake eating. With your parents' help and permission, you can watch it. However, she is eating mice, so you might not want to watch if you have a pet hamster or other rodent.

Shake my Tail-Parody of "Shake it Off"

Tune in to the latest hit from Serpentville's favorite rattlesnake, Taylor Crotalis!

I'm just a little snake
There's no reason to hate
That's what I will say, mm-mm.
That's what I will say, mm-mm.

Some lives I might just take
but before that, I shake.
That's what I will say, mm-mm.
That's what I will say, mm-mm.

But I keep slitherin'
Can't stop, won't stop givin'
'Cause I eat the rodents
In the towns,
'Cause I gotta keep the pests out.

'Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate hate
I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake
I shake my tail, I shake my tail
The chasers gonna chase, chase, chase, chase, chase
And the snakers gonna snake, snake, snake, snake, snake
I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake shake shake
I shake my tail, I shake my tail

I eat up all your pests
Your crops can do the rest
And you don't think I'm the best, mm-mm.
You don't think I'm the best, mm-mm.

My venom's not for you
Humans don't make good food
I don't want to bite you, mm-mm.
Don't want to bite you, mm-mm.

Shake my tail, I shake my tail
I, I, I shake my tail, I shake my tail
I, I, I shake my tail, I shake my tail
I, I, I shake my tail, I shake my tail

Hey, hey, hey
Just think while you've been getting scared and panicking about the

rattlesnakes and the little tiny rat snakes of the world,
You could've been getting educated by this rattlesnake.

Someone's man brought their new girlfriend
She's like "Aah, a snake!" but I'm just gonna shake it.
And to the fella over there who's about to chop my head
Put that machete down! I'll just shake, shake shake

Yeah ohhh

'Cause the players gonna play, play, play, play, play
And the haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate hate
I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake
I shake my tail, I shake my tail
The chasers gonna chase, chase, chase, chase, chase
And the snakers gonna snake, snake, snake, snake, snake
I'm just gonna shake, shake, shake shake shake
I shake my tail, I shake my tail

Shake my tail, I shake my tail
I, I, I shake my tail, I shake my tail
I, I, I shake my tail, I shake my tail
I, I, I shake my tail, I shake my tail

Shake my tail, I shake my tail
I, I, I shake my tail, I shake my tail
I, I, I shake my tail, I shake my tail
I, I, I shake my tail, I shake my tail

Shake my tail, I shake my tail
I, I, I shake my tail, I shake my tail
I, I, I shake my tail, I shake my tail
I, I, I shake my tail, I shake my tail

Little python fact:It's true! Rattlesnakes don't want to bite you, and if they get angry, they might rattle. So if you're walking in the woods and hear a rattling sound, back away slowly and quietly. Well, unless it's just Stripie with maracas.

Little Pythons in the Real World:Part 1

Woah! Where am I? Let's go exploring. Wow! That's an odd creature. It looks like one of us, but it's much, much larger! I wonder what it might be?

Little Python fact:The strange creature really is like one of the Little Pythons! It's Pinkie, my pet ball python. He's really sweet, but if you want to get somebody like him, make sure you do your research before you do.

Math with the Little Pythons

Stripie climbed up a 40-foot flagpole at 1 PM. At the same time, the 4-foot Caramel Apple is yelling at him telling him to get down with a shadow length of 0.8 feet. If Stripie is 6 feet long, how much longer is the shadow of the flagpole with Stripie on it then the shadow of the flagpole alone?

Step by step
1.We know that the length of Stripie and the flagpole together is 46 feet.
2.We know that the length of Caramel Apple is 4 feet...
3....and that her shadow length is 0.8 feet.
4.Because the flagpole is 10 times the length of Caramel Apple...
5....it would have 10 times the shadow length, so therefore its length would be 8 feet.
6....If a 4-foot snake has a shadow length of 0.8, then something that's 2 feet long would have a shadow length of 0.4...
7....and using this knowledge, we just add to get Stripie's shadow length of 1.2 feet...
8....and because we know how long the flagpole's shadow is, we know that the shadow length of the flagpole and Stripie together is 9.2...
9....and therefore the difference between the shadow length of Stripie and the flagpole and just the flagpole is 1.2 feet!

Little Pythons at School:Meet Aqua Blue

Those Little Pythons just have everything working out for them...Tangerinei gets great grades in biology, Sweet Grapevine is so popular and sets all the trends, and everyone loves to see Stripie's Mineshaft worlds and eat Caramel Apple's treats. And the best thing of all is that they're part of a group, almost like a family. Hey...I wonder if I could join that group. So, Sweet Grapevine, you know how you have your group with the other Little Pythons? I was wondering if I could join it. By the way, I'm Aqua Blue, but you can just call me Aqua. I'm on the swim team.

Sure, we'd love another Little Python! Who cares if you're not actually a python, you can still join! Come on, we're going to eat lunch at the cafeteria. They're serving fish today!

Ooh, fish are my favorite food!

Little Python facts:Aqua looks a bit different from other snakes you might have seen. The truth is, there's actually snakes in the wild that look like her! Sea snakes live mostly in Australia and have flat, paddle-like tails to help them adapt to a marine lifestyle, just like Aqua! That's also why Aqua's on the swim team and fish are her favorite food. And just like the Little Pythons, many snakes do den in groups! Mostly live-bearing snakes, like boas and garter snakes, often sleep together when hibernating, and in the spring, when it's time to make little baby snakes, they form huge breeding balls.

Ask the Little Pythons!

Hey there! If you send an appropriate question to my email at alli_draggy@comcast.net, then guess what? You will get an answer from one of the four Little Pythons! If you want it answered by a particular python, be sure to point that out in your email. We want questions in this format:

To:alli_draggy@comcast.net
Subject:Ask The Little Pythons

Dear Caramel Apple,

Hi, Caramel Apple! I'm a budding chef, so I want to know if there are any good, easy recipes I can make when I want to help make dinner. Also, how do you keep Stripie Snakie from destroying everything? I have a little brother too, and he's so much like Stripie, I thought you might have some tips.

  -My Little Python Reader

If you don't have an email of your own, ask your parents if you can use their email. But make sure that the Subject is set to Ask the Little Pythons, you point it out if you want a particular python to answer it, and always end it with your name. After Caramel Apple sees the question pointed out by the reader, she might answer it with something like this.

To:youremail@youremailservice.com
Subject:Ask The Little Pythons

Dear My Little Python Reader,

Well, My Little Python Reader, you didn't mention if you're allowed to use the microwave or oven, or how old you are. But here are some tasty ideas to get you started. If you want an appetizer or snack, just mix dried fruit with your favorite whole grain cereal, and maybe throw in some nuts or tiny chocolate candies, and you've got a trail mix! At the same time, you can also make desserts too! Ask an adult for permission or help to use the blender, and mix crushed ice and your favorite fruit juice for a delicious, icy treat! Anyway, these are my personal suggestions, but there's tons of sites for easy recipes out there, so start surfing! As for your other, Stripie-related question, the easiest way to keep little brothers from destroying everything, including your sanity is to stay calm and essentially just ignore them. If they do something REALLY bad, like the time when Stripie ate all the caramel apples I was going to give to trick-or-treaters, then tell your parents or some other adult you trust about it. I hope this helped and I'm glad you read the webcomic!

-Caramel Apple
