Little Python Tip:When getting a pet, choose the one that's best for you. This might not necessarily be the prettiest or coolest-looking one. Inquire about handling pets or their personalities to choose one that fits your lifestyle. If your family travels a lot, an active pet might not be the best and if you have small children in the home, a feisty, nervous pet that bites might not fit your family.
VERY IMPORTANT LITTLE PYTHON NOTICE:Never take any animal from the wild for a pet! They can spread disease to your pets, or if exposed to your pets, could spread diseases back to the wild population. Taking animals from the wild is also illegal to some degree in every continental U.S. state!
VERY IMPORTANT LITTLE PYTHON NOTICE:Responsibility for a pet is a lot different than responsibility to keep your room clean or not use your iPod in bed. Pets are living beings with their own separate needs!
Little python tip:If you want to discuss getting a pet, do it at a time when you are alone with your parent or other guardian and are in a fairly good mood, like at lunch or when you're folding laundry.
