XP: This guy's a good laptop. I'm proud to be his OS. Plus, he works pretty well for compatibility testing.
The Great Snake's Non-Snake-Related but Kind Of Interesting Fact:Laptops are older than you think they are! Semi-portable computers date back to the early 1980s, and a portable computer was the first truly legal IBM PC clone. The big revolution with laptops was with the introduction of Windows 95, pushing battery-saving features for netbooks, CD-ROM drives, fairly small hard drives, and the Intel Pentium. The rise of fairly good displays on LCD monitors also helped. The laptop in this picture is an EEE PC, whose kind first appeared in 2007.
